London’s dedicated LGBTQ+ Comedy Night is pleased to announce the winner of the LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year competition which took place at the Seven Dials Club in Covent Garden across March, April & May during 6 competition heats.



Charlie George is a former dancer & circus performer who came to comedy to find her voice, turns out her voice is a lot like an 18th Century man’s trapped inside the body of a queer brown lady. A finalist of Pride’s Got Talent in 2018 & Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2018 in her first year of comedy.


At the age of just 19, Sam Serrano is a rising star on the comedy circuit. Coming 2nd in the prestigious Great Yorkshire Fringe Comedian Of The Year where they received rave- "put the x in x factor" York press "laugh-out-loud funny" yorkshire post.




Louise has a warmth on stage that engages the audience from the off. Her laid back style gives way to a high rate of wonderfully crafted, razor-sharp jokes that have built up her reputation as a strong comic presence.

Top Prize was £250 cash, a comedy coaching session with award winning comedian Tom Allen, headline spots at both Comedy Bloomers/G&B Comedy and of course a Comedy Bloomers Trophy.

Competition organiser Chris Smith commented “We were thrilled to have such inspiring comedic talents join the judging panels for the first year of this unique competition, the level of talent performing was impressive especially the 6 finalists. Comedy Bloomers LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year rapidly became one of the most exciting events in the LGBTQ calender and we are grateful for the support from our various LGBTQ+ communities.
