Our History
Comedy Bloomers was launched in 2017 by Chris Smith, who dipped his toes into the comedy pool a year before at the Comedy School, London.
Chris saw that queer comedy had evolved far beyond simple double entendres and expected punchlines, blossoming into a rich, dynamic tapestry of humour that not only tickles the funny bones of the LGBTQ+ community but also offers a witty window into the queer experience for everyone to enjoy.
Spotting a gap in the spotlight for LGBTQ+ voices in comedy, both in queer circles and the wider world of laughs, Chris was inspired to kick off something new. Thus, Comedy Bloomers was born, shining as a beacon of queer comedy, ready to mix up the circuit with a fabulous twist and welcoming everyone ready to share in the laughter.
